Splashed Mix V5 – Final Release
This is it — the final version of Splashed Mix.
After five iterations of merging, testing, and refining, V5 pushes SDXL as far as it can go. It’s stronger in every way: richer textures, deeper prompt understanding, and a more intuitive feel for both art and photography. This version thinks differently — it’s not just an upgrade, it’s the sum of everything that came before.
The settings remain the same:
8–10 steps, LCM Exponential, CFG 1.0 — to match the results shown, stick to these.
V5 is a swansong — the last checkpoint in a long journey. Hope it inspires you to create something unforgettable.

Sampler: LCM using Exponential, AYS, or Beta
Steps: 8–10
Aspect Ratios: Most should work without distortion
Stick to these settings if you want results like the sample images—V4 doesn’t behave like SDXL or other base models, and it’s not meant to.

One of the best SDXL checkpoints that I've ever used.

My First Impressions of the Splashed Mix DMD Checkpoint: 😁 I can confidently say that this model has potential. At its current stage, it already performs far better than most models in the “Pony” category. I’ve even posted detailed feedback on their model page, but unfortunately, the developers seem to ignore what users are saying. As for Splashed Mix DMD, I would give it an honest 5 out of 10. There are several critical issues. For example, the model often struggles with rendering eyes and hands — they frequently appear distorted. It also performs poorly in image-to-image tasks, with highly unpredictable and often disappointing results.As a photographer who occasionally creates art nude projects, I hoped to bring some of my unrealized ideas to life through AI. Sadly, this is where more issues arise: the model has major problems with nipples and even more so with female anatomy (especially genitals). These areas are not handled well at all.Still, I look forward to an improved version. The potential is there, and if the developers focus on quality and listen to feedback, this model could become truly outstanding.
i like this model, using it as cfg 0.8, 5 steps, karras gives me the best detail, but its mangling the hands. Trying to find that setting where I get a natural look, detail, and hands that don't look like a woodchipper accident.
