Edit: Uploaded a baked VAE version that's otherwise the same as the original, which should solve the issues people are having with washed out images. If you're already using your own VAE, there's no need to download the baked VAE version. Metadata from my example post on this version is not visible on Civit because the images were created in ComfyUI. See this post and this post for prompting examples.
A Hyperrealistic model based on EnvyHyperdrive and NewReality that makes photorealistic generations that are thematically and visually similar to my other models, except, ya know, photorealistic. :)
Description
With sdxl_vae baked in.

My images look very good, for the most part.
But I get some white dots, in the dark areas, same as on the images from many other users like: jijasd, HalfGawedHalfDevil, gonzalezbarber2401, sofiacasadei00878, VISMUTREIKI, satis, elrobto.
Is the vae fix version also fixing this ?
It may. I'm not getting the white dots so I can't really test, but I select a VAE manually, so that could be it.
Let me know if it fixes it. If not, I'd like to get to the bottom of the issue, because I'd like this model to work well for everyone.
@_Envy_ The VAE fix version gives more saturated colors and also fixes the white dots for me!
I'm on Comfy UI.
I'm getting great pictures, on a par with the best models on civitai that are focused on realistic portraits.
I hope you keep updating this.
By the way, with the original version, if I select a VAE manually (sdxl_vae.safetensors) it also fixes the white dots. The images look identical to the VAE fix version.
The original version ( without a selected VAE ) also gives a bit more detail, in the darker areas. It would be interesting if there was a VAE that could keep a look closer to the original version, while fixing the white dots. Something similar to these VAE's, but for SXDL, instead of SD1.5

That's expected. The original version doesn't have a VAE in it, and the baked VAE version has SDXL_VAE baked in. Not sure why the original version would have more detail? Maybe baking in the VAE overwrites a bit of information.
@_Envy_ Just to be clear, the original version looks identical to the VAE fix version, when the VAE is added manually ( to the original version ). Is the SDXL VAE that hides a bit of detail, equally, on both versions.
But anyways, this does not hurt picture quality.
I still think the SDXL VAE gives the best balance between shadow detail and color vibrance, and it would also be my default.
I would only use something different, if I wanted to go for a specific look, like this:
Hi, I've been using your base model since the beginning and enjoying it a lot. Hands are mostly really good, and women are exceptionally beautiful and detailed. I hope you will continue to update it and make it better.
Thanks!
