V1 is my fav, an advanced version of it would be good with more natural, crisp photolook.
That's a very good question. The thing is that making checkpoints you always have to make compromises (for instance: +artistic means -photorealistic). It's very hard to figure the proper balance out. Yes i thought -a lot- about making a strictly photorealistic one (it won't be as creative as 1.6 but things like anatomy would be a lot stronger). Although losing so much model creativy it feels kinda a downgrade to me. I just want to balance everything beforehand (which takes huuuuge amounts of time).
Other reason is there's truly no shortage of already excellent photorealistic checkpoints for sdxl (Analog Madness, BigLove, epicrealism and so many others) so if i make one needs a different take, another flair, add something of value somehow or at least look distinct - for better or worse- to what is already done -which is extremely difficult because those are veeeery high profile works-. It feels like a daunting goal to me.

@ElectricDreams Yes, but what i like the most about v1, its beautiful and realistic and not just a porn model. I actually use it for sfw with everthing randomized(wildcards), and other merged models beside lustify and biglove give more understanding of clothes for example.
Your merge is way more realistic and beautiful, than most of top models(which stuck in 2024).
So be photoreal and beautiful(with loras for example):))
@alfredoxaiver127 No worries. If there's a next installment, it probably will be more photorealistic because i'm having a hard time expanding the creativity -in a significant way- without breaking anatomy/photorealism. At the end of the day, I have EH Picto anyways for pure artistic styles.
So It's on the table. It's way too early to know. I've released 1.6 a week ago and I'm still having fun with it, tbh.

Hi, I love your Checkpoint! I started with v1.0 and it does NSFW, and so does v1.4, but I cannot get v1.6 to do any intercourse. Is this on purpose? Looking forward to hear from you on this. Thank you.
And you're absolutely right! 1.6 is excellent at creative tasks but yeah it really can't do a lot of nsfw like 1.0. These last months I was focusing more on creativity and art styles (1.6 is way more creative than 1.0, that's not even a question). I've never considered EventHorizonXL a nsfw checkpoint, more like a "jack of all trades" (master of none!) that it can do a lot of things like Juggernaut Ragnarok or Cyberrealistic. Both excellent checkpoints that can do sfw and nsfw. Obviously I'm not comparing myself with those checkpoints (absolute masterpieces btw) made by absolute geniuses, I'm just saying those were my initial goals/influences when making the first EH. Anyways, you always have to make compromises (+artistic styles means is gonna be worse in nsfw) and maybe i got a bit carried away this time.
To cut to the chase, next installment will recover the nsfw properties with expanded art styles (as much as i can without endangering anatomy). Or at least that's why I have in mind now. I'd try to balance things out which is extremely difficult to do within the limits of sdxl. I'm still trying to sorting things out.
I've already read several complaints about this, I honestly didn't think Event Horizon 1.0 was that popular (it doesn't have very impressive number of downloads to say the least).

@ElectricDreams Ok thanks for the info! Actually, when you only had EHXL v1.0 out, a few months ago now, I tested all the other checkpoints you mentioned and yours was the best. I've been using it for months now over all those other ones. Your v1.6 looks really good especially with lighting, and it seems to make the scenes more complex and detailed too. Great work!
