GENOVA APEX is an experimental model.
I created by merging my previous Gene Quantum model https://civarchive.com/models/885573/flux-gene-beauty with DEDISTILLED models and my own trained LoRAs. The process involved multiple stages and is purely an experiment to achieve high detail and realism similar to DEDISTILLED in just 8 generation steps(+ 8 generation steps Hires. Fix) .
Version (UNet) – This version requires Flux VAE, Clip-L, and T5XXL to work effectively with the Flux development model.
Recommended Settings for Optimal Generation
Sampling Method and Schedule Type: Euler Beta
Sampling Steps: 8 steps
I use Hires. Fix because it provides significantly better results: 8 steps, upscale 1.2.
My configuration: RAM 64Gb, VRAM 16Gb
Workflow for ComfyUi:
I use a straightforward workflow for image generation, available here: Flux Photos DEV WorkflowHyperDetailer workflow FLUX PHOTOS DEV (HyperDetailer update) https://civarchive.com/models/670083
However, it requires a lot of memory because the process includes nodes for detail enhancement and upscaling, which also deliver the best results.
Please note that the quality on Forge may be lower than on ComfyUI. Here are the parameters I used: last update Forge, steps 8, euler beta, Distilled CFG Scale 3.5, CFG Scale 1 and I recommend use Hires.Fix Upscaler Latent or other be better, 8 steps, Upscale by 1,2 (higher upscale factors give better results but are slower and require more VRAM/RAM), Denoising strength 0,7, Distilled CFG Scale 3.5, CFG Scale 1 .
My Prompt Writing Assistant: https://civarchive.com/articles/7868/gpts-flux-photo-prompt-gen
P.S. The results I observe during the modeling process are even better than those I obtain from the final output of this process. Therefore, I continue experimenting, as the reason for this discrepancy has not yet been found...

Show what exactly is this? Trained model or merge of some LoRAs? It would be nice to have a bit more info before downloading yet another model.

Looks great !
Can you add a GGUF version?
Thanks! Unfortunately, I haven't tried creating a GGUF version. This still needs to be figured out.
NO GGUF its slow like the hell ^^
This looks really good.
But what is up with that workflow?
I might have done something wrong when trying to get it to work on my rig, but it seems extremely memory hungry.
Is this for at least 64RAM +24VRAM or such ?
yes my configuration ram 64gb vram 16gb yes part of ram is used for optimization for not a large of vram
@DNA_1_618 Understood. I have tested out some less memory intensive workflows and the output is very good so far. Probably my fav Flux to date. It brings hope for what the community will be able to finetune and train in the future. Good work! Now, I just need to buy some more RAM...
The sample images you provided are really, really good and I want to try this model.
However, when I use your recommended settings in Forge (steps 8, euler beta, various guidance, cfg 1), it only generates some disfigured abominations. And I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Hi! I generated the images using ComfyUI and tested them on Forge. Please note that the quality on Forge may be lower than on ComfyUI. I've been testing all the flux variants that are available in civitai, even the early access models(I payed some for that ;-)).
This is one of the most impressive models I have ever tested. It feels like the next version of flux.
thanks!
Thank you for your kind words! I’m glad this model impressed you. If you have any ideas or feedback, I’d be happy to hear them. Thanks again! 😊
Any chance of a fp16 version?
At the beginning of creating my first model, my hardware wasn't capable of handling FP16—it required more memory and caused errors—so I chose the FP8 route and continued the process that way. Reproducing this process from scratch is quite difficult because many things were configured and adjusted based on the results. Yes, an FP16 version would be better, but it's challenging to repeat; it would have to be done anew, and the path might be a bit different :)
@DNA_1_618 Understood. Only you can decide if you want to challenge yourself like that in the future. Good work never the less.
Perhaps when Chroma is finished cooking you will make a Genova version?
