Welcome to version 1.2 it is just as fast, but the colors are better, the details are finer and the contrast is better, the overall image is just better.
For detailed portraits as seen in the gallery, use the Flux.1 S Workflow with Lightning upscale and detailing.
!!! There is a better workflow for refining skin, it's called the Flux Refiner workflow and it is also based on SDXL Lightning and works best with the model found in the description !!!
I have a 4070 12GB and with CFG 1 and 4 Steps a batch of 4 images takes less than a minute. It's based on Flux.1 S, also called Schnell, so it's free, easy to use and fast!
Best use is CFG 1 and around 4-6 steps, but feel free to experiment.
It's 100% Flux.1 S based, so the Dev license does not apply on generated images.
Description
Sharper, better contrast, more detailed

This creates really nice colorful and complex compositions that are easy to upscale into something that's very close to Flux Dev quality. It responds well to a range of different samplers too, which I appreciate.
I have a new version ready, but are people still using this since GGUF and all the other variations appeared? It's a lot of GB's every time, keep updating?! 馃檮馃檮
Thank for the effort. I don't, since I only have a gpu with 12Gb vram, I don't download or use any model that goes over the vram limit of my gpu.
@PirateGirl聽I also have a 4070 12GB, it's based on Flux.1 S so it doesn't take a lot of memory, I can do a batch of 10 images at the same time.
@JayNL聽4070 is much faster than 3060. It takes about 27s per image in one batch with Q5 and Q8 models. Crashes if I try to do more than 4 images per batch. You don't experience slowdowns of running too big model that does not fully fit in to 12Gb vram?
@JayNL聽I've also noticed that it's more "economic" and time saving in a sense to generate full hd images 1920x1088 res that takes 48s. per one batch than standard resolution images. And those images look just awesome. But FS has a bit of a long neck problem like sdxl models if you do too high portrait images like 1088x1920, so I don't do that. For that reason I use 1440x1920 and it takes only 2-3s more per image.
@PirateGirl聽in most cases its just as fine to use lower resolution and upscaling, 896x1152 is nice for portrait generation, then upscale to 2560 or so
@JayNL聽edit: Upscaling is a different thing. With 1152x and upscale you'll just get upscaled 1152 image. You'll get totally different image by using higher resolution. Including compositions and more small details. Flux is great for that. Flux supports 2.0 MP image size. There's not much body anatomy problems like with sdxl models if you go over 1.0 MP size. https://www.reddit.com/r/StableDiffusion/comments/1enxdga/flux_recommended_resolutions_from_01_to_20/
@PirateGirl聽works fine for Civitai or any other socials, I would only render bigger when using for print or something or else it's a waste of time. All my portraits and landscapes are 1152x896 (or 896x1152) and upscaled 4x with NMKD Siax and downscaled 0.56x with Lanczos.
@PirateGirl聽This is because usually the resolution plays a part in generation. You can use the upscaled resolution as a factor for generation but still generate a lower resolution one. It gets you fairly similar image (not exactly same though), where the theme and poses are quite similar to image that would been generated via the higher resolution. Automatic1111 has such an option
@TScitai聽I've never used a1111. I use small resolutions now mainly to test how the overall scene look and feel. Then if it looks interesting, I'll go and do high res images of that.
@TScitai What I like the most is that Flux is coherent with small details and does not hallucinate nonsensical details like sdxl models do.聽
@JayNL聽Yep, each to their own. I'm just trying to do the best looking images I can. I'm nailing full hd landscapes so good now that I don't know if I want to generate portrait images at all anymore. But it's a shame that civitai hates landscape images with passion. I don't get much views for my tiny thumbs.
@PirateGirl聽haha yeah they stand out pretty crappy here
@JayNL I much prefer the quality of your model over the GGUF ones, but I have a 16GB 4060ti card so I can run pretty much any of the regular Flux models.
This may sound odd but is this actually Flux? I see sometimes bad anatomy and I never see that with Flux. How does one verify a model? LOL
@zGenMedia聽Any finetuning on top of Flux breaks / risks breaking anatomy. So it's to be expected somewhat until solved.
