Hey, you guys want to hear a story? The truth about hell is that it isn't all fire and brimstone. The hell that you show up in after this life isn't just a place of torture and punishment, and evil isn't just sadistic, it's worse than that.

If you've ever had a near death experience, seen certain death coming right at you, that breathless feeling of the bottom dropping out just as you see it, combine that with the worst horror you've ever seen, something you'd turn away from, something that damages you right down into your soul, and you have the experience of hell, only it's continuous.

And it isn't meant to be what you deserve or some kind of penance. Hell doesn't care what you were or what you've done, its only concern is what you can do for its cause. Your time in hell will be spent having your humanity wrung out of you, being turned inside out, going beyond fear, beyond madness, until you become one of them.

And of course, this isn't just because misery loves company or some other shortsighted platitude. It's because what the devil wants, is the perfect opposition of God, the creator before all things. You see, the devil wants what we all want: peace. The perfect peace that is the opposite of creation, the peace of total annihilation.

What nobody tells you in hell, is that it's a fools errand. There can be no un-creation, no non-existence. You might talk to someone with evil in their soul, and they might say 'I never asked to be born!', but I ask you this: Who do you think gave God this choice to exist that we all think should be our right?

What if God could only ever be God, and everything that is, could only ever be what it is? What if we are all really in the same boat, without any choice to exist at all? I'll tell you 'what if': We should probably just chill and try to make the best of it, and stop trying to wreck everything. Having seen heaven and hell, having come to know God and the devil, that's what I think anyway.
