    Lora of Alex Lawther. He is an English actor, writer, and director, born on May 4, 1995, in Winchester, Hampshire, England. He made his professional acting debut in the West End, originating the role of John Blakemore in Sir David Hare's South Downs. Lawther gained recognition for his role as the young Alan Turing in the Academy Award-winning film The Imitation Game (2014), for which he received the London Film Critics' Circle Award for "Young British Performer of the Year" and was named one of BAFTA's 2015 Breakthrough Brits. He is known for his roles in Black Mirror, The End of the F*ing World, Freak Show, Howards End, Goodbye Christopher Robin, Ghost Stories, The Last Duel, and Andor. Lawther is frequently cast as outsiders and eccentric characters, and he is also a writer and director.
