I had many issues installing instantID, I tried almost 2-3 hours yesterday with a working workflow but not getting any results but today this is what I did:
Deleted already installed ComfyUI-InstantID which didn't work
Updated comfyui via Manager (UPDATE ALL)
Installed ComfyUI-InstantID via comfyui-manager
downloaded diffusion_pytorch_model.safetensors with the config file (https://huggingface.co/InstantX/InstantID/tree/main/ControlNetModel) and placed those inside custom_nodes/ComfyUI-InstantID/checkpoints/controlnet
downloaded ip-adapter.bin (https://huggingface.co/InstantX/InstantID/tree/main) and placed that inside custom_nodes/ComfyUI-InstantID/checkpoints/
went into custom_nodes/ComfyUI-InstantID folder, type CMD on the panel next to search bar(don't know what its called sorry),
Typed this "pip install -r requirements.txt" and ENTER of course
opened ComfyUI\custom_nodes\ComfyUI-InstantID\INSTANTID WORKFLOWS -> V2.0 InstantID_locally_pose_refγZhoγ.json
Filled instantID loader and controlNet loader with correct paths and... It worked!!!!
Read Above please cause this was by far the most stubborn node I have worked with but the results are mind-blowing! worth all the trouble!
Activate this tagger and plug a photo if you are lazy to look for prompts
Use OneButtonPrompt if you are lazy but still need professional results
If you are using a NON-TURBO model, increase STEPS and CFG for you likings

Thank you for posting this workflow and instructions. However I am having trouble. Could you explain more in step 4 to show exactly what you downloaded, and where you placed the files?
I've tried to get this repository to work for the last three days. I've finally gotten to the point that you've written in your notes here, and the workflow SLOWLY gets clear through 100% on the next to last node, but before any image is posted, the process blows up with an out of memory error. Every damn time. I've tried so many different checkpoints. No luck. I'm using an RTX 3060 12GB and it looks like this process wants to use about 14GB of VRAM. Frustrating.

What should i do with this error?
I resolved some issues by updating the requirements.txt "diffusers" to "diffusers>=0.22.0"
instantID nodes are now working. (the instant ID custom nodes requirements)
But I have no idea what are the other nodes you use in this workflow to transfer data between nodes
ZHO-ZHO-ZHO's ComfyUI-InstantID doesn't seem to get installed correctly. It ruined the whole ComfyUI setup twice.
Otherway, cubiq's ComfyUI_InstantID installed according to meticulous 3-rd party guidance works well.

Hello! I've been facing a lot of errors but I want to know if this one thing is not causing me issues: I don't have a "/ComfyUI-InstantID/checkpoints/controlnet" folder, I just see "put_models_here.txt" but, it means I should create the folder... or it is supposed that I have something installed that is making that folder exists and I apparently don't have?
outofmemory ID base model loader... What is the VRAM minimum required ?
