Update: Several of the clips used to train this, are now included in my Hard Cut lora.
Create abrupt scene changes.
I initially didn't see the benefit of this. You could just generate the new scene separately, right? But for the sake of consistency, this lora can be useful. Change setting while keeping the style, or characters.
Use "wide-angle", "mid-shot" or "close-up" for better control.
Prompt format:
[initial shot]. smash cut to [second shot]
If you want a scene change, specify the scene both before and after the cut (to increase the likelihood of it happening.)
Like the others, this first version is a bit limited. It doesn't work for all situations. No low-noise model needed (maybe I'll train one and test anyway).

Start with a low strength.

Vhere is ze low noise model, Lebowski?
none is needed. i should update the desc
It's down there somewhere let me take another look
@32Bitshifter obviously you're not a golfer

How is it different from your "Cinematic Hard Cut"?
Hard cut is trained on cuts within the same scene. A smash cut is an abrupt scene change, so it's trained on going from one scene to a new one, often with a change in pace.
@neph1
I literally started using your hard cut lora last night to try to force a big scene change (and it did a decent job!), so I can't wait to try this out!
@SinglePage Let me know how it works out. I've noticed it's not as good as keeping likeness of people (which is a bit of a let down). It's on the other hand not trained on many examples of that, so no surprise.
@neph1 thank you for teaching me
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Love this lora.
Glad you like it. I think there's room for improvement. It's not as flexible as I had hoped.
Thanks for your loras. They have a lot of potential uses. In my posted video below you can see some samples. I think if I was more descriptive in the prompt I could have gotten rid of the bikini top in the maid scene and maybe the top strings in the k-pop scene. It did a great job of keeping the character the same with the scene switches.
While I do get hard cuts I have difficulties making the scenes fully separated. It still tries to transition between the two.
For instance, your example with the robot chef and the guy waking up, if I try something like that the robot would already try to make some of the motion of the later. The scenes bleeds a little into each other, not sure why.
it's evident in one of my examples, too. the "scarf" (edit: no, it's some kind of brass thing) of the goblin flaps from the wind coming from the second scene. very uncanny.
This Lora is amazing thanks for your time on this! With this lora I have learned a lot, like how different lora loaders work and their positions, at first I had tons of problems to make it happen, like sometimes worked sometimes no, and sometimes it was just like a jumping transition of the character into another scenery, the character even felt the physics of it 😆 some fun stuffs... Anyways at the end almost gave up and I made the mistake to add it into the low noise sampling when and forgot to remove it from there I removed the high noise only, and woah! It worked and now all the time works 😆
im getting diffrent person after smash cut wonder why
It's far from perfect. You could try "smash cut to the same person ... " or try Hard Cut, which has more training data, including smash cut types.
@neph1 sadly same results but it works perfect with other nfsw loras. not working with cunnilingus lora
