About the subject:

Danish actress and model, best known for her roles as Joanna Wellick in the hit tv series Mr. Robot (2015 - 2017), and Valentina Vostok in DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, and studied ballet in her youth. When she was 13, she won a Supermodel of Scandinavia contest organized by Unique Models, an international modeling agency based in Copenhagen, and began her international modeling career. Working mainly in Europe, she also studied in the United Kingdom before relocating to Los Angeles in 2011.

She then pivoted to acting, landing guest appearances on the USA Network medical drama series Royal Pains, the NBC sitcom Bad Judge and the TV Land sitcom The Exes. Higher profile roles soon followed, including the second season of the American anthology horror television series American Horror Story ("Asylum"), where she portrayed the "White Nun", and Tatiana in HBO's Emmy Award nominated TV film Hello Ladies (2014).

In 2015, she was cast in her best-known role in the USA Network drama–thriller television series Mr. Robot, playing the character of Joanna Wellick. Initially a recurring role, she was promoted to the main cast for later seasons. She followed this by playing Valentina Vostok in the CW series DC's Legends of Tomorrow, a spin-off of Arrow and The Flash. Other notable roles include the mysterious antagonist in the television series Deception, Gabrielle Haller in Noah Hawley's Legion (2019), and Viktoria in the 2022 film, The Invitation.

She is an animal-rights advocate and has been a vegan since 2013, and has over 200,000 followers on Instagram.
