can you please explain the part "VAE is Required"?
I know what a VAE is, but I didnt do anyting about, I just installed your checkpoint and images were generated with high detail and great colors since the beginning. May be my Auto1111 automatically assigned a VAE to me?
Also I see many other user below posted low contrast/bad colors images and I cant understand why. May be they failed to load a VAE?
As you said, you may have already a Vae selected in your A1111, VAE is not integrated with the model and result in images with bad colors as you state. At least I'm sure I uploaded model without vae. I can't really think in other possibilities.

A1111 says - None [VAE} = use VAE from checkpoint). And ..... Automatic = use one with same filename as checkpoint. I've only changed the VAE from "automatic" for toon images where you definitely need to select one made for toon-style renders. The ckpt you choose is probably more important than the VAE.

download these into the stable-diffusion/models/VAE folder
you'll then be able to manually select them in the settings tab in the auto1111 UI
(these two are my favorites, use whatever you like)
in the settngs tab, go down, click the grey [show all pages] button on the left to expand all the settings, press ctl-f to open a find box....type VAE then arrow down to find all related VAE options quickly
now ctl-F "quicksettings list" open the drop down, and select VAE. you'll now have a Vae selection dropdown on the top of your main interface page so you can switch them easily whenever
