v4 DMD2 is an absolutely wonderful model. Super realistic, beautiful colors, very good contrast, and a good understanding of the prompts. With 12 steps, it's also very fast. I love the model and thank you for it.
Integration of DMD2 is not the best decision. This kind of LORA gives quality and speed boost, but the price is too high.
All generation with DMD2 look very similar in many aspects. You loose diversity and creativity.
DMD2 is good for refinements, and fast for drafts. But faces and narrative looks too similar from pic to pic.
For same face issues, pony needs characters and loras. On XL you can diverse them, with races, names.
My main issue with dmd is clothes, anyway its good.
@homoludens @calyxvishruth490 no panic, I’ll just keep publishing checkpoints without DMD2. That’s also why I put them in my Catalyst version – that’s where more experiments were/are placed. I’m now publishing these experiments on Patreon, and most likely the non-DMD2 version will be posted there as well.
You can make images more diverse by using cfg_slider lora and some other.
This model is fantastic to work with depth controlnet. Also v4 doesn't strictly require pony tags.
