The edgiest form of magic ever existed..
Hooo boy, where do I even begin with this one. I actually gave up on this one a while ago but picked it back up again because someone requested it. Basically the AI have difficulty with semi-transparent black matter so stuff like black smoke, liquid, magic, etc are a pain in the ass to train. So I deleted most data that has those kinds of effects except the more solid and opaque looking ones because training them all together will diminish the effect. I also kinda bypass the problem by tagging them as 'ink' rather than 'black liquid', because the AI seems to respond better to the former. Tbh, I'm still not fully satisfied with the result, but this is already my 9th attempt doing this, so Imma call it quits with this one and move on to other things. Also, this seems to work better on non-realistic models..
Weight: 0.6 - 0.8
Trigger: shad0wmancer
Additional tags: ink, (swirling black ink) (use more brackets to enhance the effect)
Note: Often times, puddle of black liquid appears underneath your characters which I'm assuming suppose to be your character's shadow. But sometimes it will generate an image of your characters partially submerged in it, especially if it's not a full body shot. Tbh, I don't know why it does that, none of my training images have that kind of imagery. Try putting 'submerged' in the negative prompt, hopefully it'll happen less often.
p/s: If you're leaving a review, consider sharing your generated images too. I love looking at your creations..

More like tar-mancer? :D
Lol, I guess it can also be that..
@Kairen92 Love the concept though, unfortunate that SD couldn't handle it better. If the substance looks smoke-y it would've looked really nice
@vin_sanders Ikr, but black smoke doesnt do well in most situations especially in bright areas. It's the same thing that happened with my smokemancer model. But I did see some preview images that managed to generate it. Maybe it also depends on what base model you're using?
Love every single of your loras.
Quick question, have you thought on uploading your stuff to Tensor.art? It's like CivitAI but allows people generate decent quality images, and pays creators for exclusive models and lora or that's what they say. (I'm just an user not a creator)
I Would love to see your stuff there.
That's it! Keep up the good work.
Huh, to be honest I wasn't sure what that site was. I did see a couple of creators mentioning that their models are also available there. But if it's like Civitai, doesn't it seem pointless to upload it there? Since I already uploaded them here for free?
But I'll think about, gotta check the website first to see what's it about. Thanks for letting me know .. :)
Edit: I just found out that someone has been uploading most of my model to Tensor.art and I don't know how I feel about that.. 😅
@Kairen92 Never heard of this website either until this comment either lol.. Seems like the uploader does credit you in their description and mentioned your buymeacoffee account link. At least they're not claiming it to be 'their content'. If you're uncomfortable with that you might wanna try contacting the person and talk to them and stuff..
Other contents i saw from civitai seems to be shared there as well, although from the same uploaders in civitai. Not sure about the civitai policy about content being shared on other platforms tbh, seems like a complicated matter
@vin_sanders Yeah, I did realize that when I saw it, they at least credited me on that site. It would've been nicer if they mention that they wanna reupload my stuff on that site though, like in the comments on my models. It's not like I'm particularly bothered by it, it just feels weird lol. If they're doing it for free then I'm 100% on board with that since they're basically doing my job of uploading them on that site for me. But if they're getting some money out of it, then it's a little weird for me..

inkmancer~~~
I dig it. And thank you. ♥
I'll play around with it with other LoRAs to see if anything helps with a more smoke-like effect; I'll let you know if anything works out. I've been finding that tattoos, especially with a swirl-like design, are also really, really hard for SD to figure out. Something about semi-black swirls I guess.
Lol I guess Inkmancer would be a better name for it. Oh well ..
I've also played around with intricate tattoo design but for some reason it always comes out distorted and weird. I dunno if it's my setting or my dataset. And I did noticed its mostly black tattoos that does that. Hmmm ..
@Kairen92 lol, nah. Shadowmancer is cooler.
I found a semi-workable tattoo output using three different LoRAs, a specific checkpoint, and highly specific adjustments/weights (which I can find if anyone cares but don't remember off-hand obv). So I've been generating a bunch of images that I'm planning to crop/heal as needed, then put toward trying to make Baby's First LoRA. Fingers crossed! If it's possible to get workable swirly tattoos, maybe workable swirly shadows can follow one day.
looks more like black oil
If you prefer that, sure lol ..
Jude Law would be proud.
I can't say I understood the reference .. 😂
About the puddles and submerged: I have problems all the time when I generate that it will hallucinate something totally unrelated to my prompt and make it part of about half of my the images generated. The most common is water. Pools and puddles of water, flooding, oceans, etc.
I was making some stuff a couple days ago that had unprompted water in about half of them, and unprompted pink flowers in about half of them, so there's was only about 1/4 of them that had neither. Really frustrating. Adding 'water' and 'flowers' to the negative didn't help me.
tl;dr I rewrote my prompt a bit differently and they mostly went away. If you're getting a lot of puddles and submerged bodies, try that.
Thanks for the tip. Yeah I did noticed that this mostly happens when dealing with 'liquids'. Which is weird considering that sometimes my dataset don't even have any puddles in it. SD just decides it logical to have puddles around liquids. Which I guess make sense when you think about it, so I can't really blame the AI either lol..
Nobody thogh of using this to make venom?
