Melanie Chartoff is an American actress, comedian, and voice artist, renowned for her versatile performances across stage, television, and animation. Born on December 15, 1948, in New Haven, Connecticut, she pursued theater arts and TV directing at Adelphi University. ​

Chartoff's early career featured notable Broadway appearances, including roles in "Via Galactica" and "Scapino." She gained national recognition as a cast member on ABC's "Fridays" (1980–1982), where her comedic talents, especially her impression of Nancy Reagan, stood out. ​In television, she is perhaps best known for portraying Principal Grace Musso in the Fox sitcom "Parker Lewis Can't Lose" (1990–1993).
