She is best known for her role as Mary Alice Young, the narrator of Desperate Housewives (2004–2012), which earned her critical acclaim. She has also appeared in shows like Dallas (2012–2014), Supergirl (as Lillian Luthor), and 13 Reasons Why (as Nora Walker).
