Famke Janssen is a Dutch-American actress, model, and director, born on November 5, 1964, in Amstelveen, Netherlands. She began her career as a fashion model before transitioning to acting in the early 1990s. Janssen is best known for her role as Jean Grey / Phoenix in the "X-Men" film series, as well as her portrayal of Xenia Onatopp in "GoldenEye" (1995).
She has also appeared in films such as "House on Haunted Hill" (1999), "Hide and Seek" (2005), and "Taken" (2008). In addition to her acting career, Janssen has directed the film "Bringing Up Bobby" (2011) and served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
