There was always a rivalry between between Capcom and SNK with their fighting franchises which brough out some interesting crossover titles with their most famous characters.

Mai was introduced in Fatal Fury series (a.k.a. Garou Densetsu) as a new character in the second entry in the series and was a nice adding to the roster. With time there was an interesting "rivalry" between her and Chun-li, the main female in Street Fighter series, with some illustrations and fanarts.

Although the animated OVAs and movie from Fatal Fury didn't has a memorable quality or plot, the designs from Obari Masami catched my attention so I decided to make this model of Mai.
