š for Updates - I would love to see your reviews and images of this model, feel free to post them below!
Pathfinder branches from Maverick's flexibility fusing in Nu Element and other resources to further expand on expressive fantasy elements along with a stronger cartoon/animation styling. This model offers a wide range of creativity from flat 2D styles, anime/illustration, cartoon/animation, semi-realistic styles + more. I would love to see the styles you come up with!
š” This model is currently somewhat of an experimental project.
Recommended Use
There is a lot of variation in parameters for what works. Be aware on the styling you're choosing and use what you find best. The example images, gallery sections, and the quick start below are good starting points.
~20 steps, 7 scale, ~0.3-0.5 denoising, clip skip 1 or 2

I just wrote a review on this model but i had to also make a comment about it because using this model has blown my mind. It is great for sfw and nsfw. It is VERY easy to use and combine well with all the loras i have tried.
It is so good that i often got a good picture from this model and thought "naaah, I want to see how it handles a more complicated prompt", and just discarded the good pictures because i know this model will spit out another good picture the next time i press generate.
It has an incredible succesrate, maybe the highest i have ever seen.
I am rambling...
TLDR: Download it and have fun, it is Great! Maybe the best i have ever seen.
What an outstanding review, glad you enjoy things - props! š
@Ocean3Ā I know you wanted constructive critizism to make the model better in the future, but i am not equipped to help improve something like this. Great work and thanks for the model!
@AdamSonOfManĀ No worries, I'll use whatever is said to improve things as I can. I don't finetune with MBW too too much as it can have negative impacts in other areas, so I'm not too sure how much I would be able to remedy some things unless they were major anyways š
Detail wise some issues I notice with v1 are ears at times when interacting with hair, hair strands on face at times, eyes/teeth/hands are generally pretty decent, and some small detail inaccuracies here and there just like most models.
@Ocean3Ā Yeah im fangirling a bit much. The model is not perfect, it is just the best i've seen out of the 50 or so i've tried.
You can never do a better model than this so you should retire because anything less than this will bring shame on your family name!
Edit: Jokes aside, when i review i do it only from text2img and maybe one 0.5 noise upscale, that is why im so mindblown by the model, that is can do ok images with very little extra work.
Would it be possible to have pruned version?
ą¼¼ 㤠ā_ā ą¼½ć¤
There is already a pruned version in the files section on the right-hand side
@Ocean3Ā Ah my bad, i didn't see the model was FP32 (ļ½ļæ£ā½ļæ£)ļ½
@PotatovisionĀ I just assume the full version is fp32 by default? I don't actually know. I just know there is an option selected by default for fp16 when pruned.
@Ocean3Ā 4Gb is not pruned version. fp16 should be about 2Gb
@UnicomĀ That can depend on the model and pruning method such as ema choice. I run everything through the Toolkit extension, I may have had the wrong precision option selected here and the model only got cleaned up, or was due to outdated software at the time - not sure.
I've rerun the full version through and reuploaded a new pruned version once again @Potatovision
Yes, just like AdamSonOfMan already wrote, one of the best creative and fantasy models (just like Maverick - definitely try it) - replaced Dreamshaper and revAnimated for me!
Looks great. Any chance for an SDXL version?
Got a bit burnt out working with SDXL branch model variations with a model called 'Ambience' I had started to replicate the style of 'Maverick' a bit - no plans at the moment for the time being, I may work on the plans I had with a few models with SDXL.
@Ocean3Ā I see. Well, there is hope, that maybe one day.... ;)
@ChonsuĀ I've got a good amount of unreleased models, mostly anime related, for 1.5 I'd still like to put out. I may try out sdxl again at some point, there are some nuances with sdxl that I didn't quite care for š
@Ocean3Ā I just started out and I am still trying to get the hang. SDXL is my starting point. I guess, we will see, what's going to happen. Anyway, as far as I can tell, you work rocks ;)
@ChonsuĀ ah I see, and thank you! šŖ
I have questions about merging lora and models. Did you merge all models together first than merge the lora to that result? or Did you merge each lora to one of the models first then merge all the models together? Is one way better than the other? Thanks :)
It's just a matter of the order you choose and effects you want for each merge part you do and where. Most loRA in general can cause some heavy styling especially at mid/higher weights, so I suggest starting with low-medium weights with simple tests that compliment the base styling/model without causing too many 'overbaked' styling, prompt responsiveness limitations, or issues.
This model in particular iirc
- used Maverick which had some lora merged in at various points through that model's merge process at low weight values (model linked in description)
- merged some in layers itself with similar processes
- and had lora merged into one of the base models used in this merge before merging into the main line
Overall, this model can be a bit messy/experimental with some things as mentioned elsewhere - but this was more or less intended with these lora merges and other base styling. Negative embeddings/prompt/etc. all play major factors in some of that though too. This model may have too much lora use merged in imo, but that is all dependent on how the model is used too - still a very versatile model, most people in the gallery just seem to use it for common uses.
@Ocean3Ā Thank you for answering :)
Despite its age, it's just an excellent model! Wonderful responsiveness, magnificent, very expressive artistic semi-realistic style, deep harmonious color palette, excellent anatomy. IMHO this is one of the best semi-realistic SD1.5 models. Magnificent merge! Thanks!
