any recommendations for image dimensions?
My opinion is it's better to start smaller then upscale. I use Hires. fix to upscale. I start with 512 width x 648 height then upscale by 1.75 with 4x-UltraSharp. That gives a final resolution of 896x1134. You can then use "Send to extras" in Automatic1111 and upscale more if you want. If you go higher than 768x768 with your base dimensions, you'll start getting lots of distortion.
