A versatile and artistic Illustrious model merge family primarily based on ZU_KI's fantastic ZUKI anime ILL model. As always, this merge is tuned to my personal aesthetic preferences, and simply happens to give me the best (in my opinion) outputs from an Illustrious-based model architecture.

    Description

A 25% merge with SteinCustom. Gains some more innate functionality while retaining its recognizable style.

What's the difference between SteinIllustrious, and Stein Custom?

is one better at anime, and the other better at furry or, some other factor?

In general, SteinIllustrious has a bit more of a traditional, flat anime look, while Custom has more detail and texturing, and can better pull off 2.5D/3D styles.

Under the hood, SteinCustom is an experimental side branch of the Illustrious model with which I merged several models from the Pony architecture, so the internal data set is different. My plan was to keep the two separate, in case this also broke LORAs and such that only work on Illustrious, or Pony, models, but I have ended up doing a few subsequent cross-merges between the two for further experimentation. If you have a LORA that doesn't work, you may want to use an older version of SteinIllustrious.

As far as character designs, I am of the opinion that non-human characters are better rendered by SteinCustom, as well as it being better with lighting, shading, and textures.

@AI_nstein Thank you for the thorough answer. Both looked good to the point it was hard to tell exactly what the difference was.

I was the only one bidding on my own models to have them featured, and since they haven't been making back what the bids cost, I'd been shelling out of pocket to put them up; with the new payment changes on the site, I'm not currently able to top up on buzz to make a bid high enough to be featured. I presume that this will remain the case until a payment method I can use returns (to fund my own models again out of pocket) or enough people band together to bid them back onto the map, but it is what it is.

I'm not getting involved in crypto just to lose money featuring models. Hopefully a better solution arises soon, I mean, I didn't even mind taking a net 60% loss on my investment getting the models featured for folks to be able to enjoy them, I just don't have that ability right now. I do apologize.

AI_nstein Unfortunately capitalism reigns supreme. It's like the "pay to play" games that suck you in and require you to shell out money just for enjoyment. Sad times, these...

Which version of Illustrious is this based on?

This project began with Zu_ki's ZukiCute model, I forget which version, which has since been delisted from CivitAI, at least, I wasn't able to find it. Lacking that, I'm not sure what that model was originally based on, unfortunately.

@AI_nstein ZukiCute and ZukiNewCute should reappear if you temporarily turn off adult content in settings and refresh the page once or twice.
