03/07/26: v5! 🐯 Because why not - I need a break from the insanity of reality. Any early access purchases will go towards keeping the model on site generation.
Enjoy!
Celebrating my 200th model posted to Civitai by going back to the first model roots with a realism/semi-realism furry focused Illustrious checkpoint merge from a family friendly name you can trust for your furry/scaly/feathery needs.

Works best in combination with KFT Furropean Extreme (Illustrious) at low weights (0.2 - 0.6).
That way you get the full KFT FE² experience!
Gallery images show examples using Checkpoint + LORA as I feel the combination of the two is where the sweet style spot is (strengths of 0.1-0.3).
Recommended settings:
Sampler: DPM++ 2M Karras / DPM++ 3M Karras (GPU seeded) / DEIS
SGM Uniform / Karras
(Euler A gives much worse fur quality with most tested checkpoints)
Steps: 25+
Extras:
Hi res fix recommended!
As mentioned before, recommend using this checkpoint in combination with KFT Furropean Extreme (at low weights: 0.2 - 0.5)
Description
V2: Further merging with 25% new realism-based IL checkpoints with a focus more on realism instead of semi-realism/fantasy.

Requiem FUR A Dream? Have a tip!
This is a great model that is highly realistic, but what sets it apart from other realistic Illustrious models is that it does not sacrifice prompt adherence for realism. While it is advertised as a furry model, it can be used for anything that Illustrious can generate.
Thanks for the nice review! I've been working to merge this further, but it's been a challenge to keep the same level of prompt adherence. Maybe I'll get back to it...
I agree, out of all the vaguely "realistic" Illustrious models this is the only one that doesn't appear to have lost any of the original concepts from Illustrious.
@kftiger If you can fine tune models or merge them with loras that you've trained, I'd recommend doing so with a good set of images. Even 2-300 with studio quality lighting, and use 1536 res to train/fine tune, as opposed to the typical low 1024 mainstream standard. You may also get better results if you train in some landscape images, maybe a few hundred or so just to give the model a better understanding of non-square images.
And with relatively low numbers like that, you can tag them well(since it's realistic to go through and manually edit tags, as opposed to when training with 16k+ images). Another thing, training people, do men as well as women, please (if you do). Cuz males are severely underrepresented in the SDXL based models (including illustrious), to the extent that it doesn't even know the difference between dick and balls.
But, if you do take my advice and train people, Onetrainer has a useful tool for masking images. Mask the people using one of the people models from the dropdown in that tool, and remove any info about the backgrounds from the captions, also, make sure to use the 'masked traiing' option when training. Only caveat, you may need to go over the image masks manually after, cuz it often masks out stuff it shouldn't.
But, in my experience, the masking is better, cuz it creates a lora that knows what it's focus is, and isn't saturated with arbitrary background information. So it's focused and precise in contrast to non-masked.
Oh, one more thing, with people, mask out clothes as well. Cuz one thing I found loras have a nasty habit of doing if there's random clothings in the training, is to mash them all together during generation and create really ugly clothing/sheets/curtains, and it'll put those shabby cotton, and/or patchwork blends in even when not prompted in any way.
Forgot to add in my other advice, but this one is more of a 'must'. So, I'll add here, for a furry model, you've gotta merge in All of these loras https://civitai.com/models/1173463/furry-anatomy-options-il-nsfw
It's the best lora set I've seen for furry genitalia.
Just thought about it as I was browsing the samples here. Good stuff but, most of the dicks are still bland, default cut human cocks, or cocks that try to be animal anatomy but have that obvious human cock look to them.
