Forge is the "ALMOST REAL" -- it's the "Not quite 3d" but above 2.5d.
The ones that are more SHINY and closer to 2.5d will be on the 2.5d remix line (Y'know the midjourney plastic ones lol)
It's also sometime our "CINEMATIC" line.
🛠️ Merge & Training Details
The backbone of any of our mixes are built upon numerous LoRAs, many of which were trained in-house by Ktiseos Nyx. We're always experimenting and creating! Due to the wonderfully rapid pace of Ktiseos Nyx's LoRA development, we confess that sometimes the exact lineage of merged checkpoints becomes a delightful mystery. We believe in training as much as we can ourselves, but the spirit of community and shared creation is vital!
✨ Recommended Settings
To get the best out of ANY of our models, try these settings:
Samplers: Euler or Euler Ancestral
Scheduler: Karras
Negative Prompt: Generally not needed! The model is designed to perform well without one, but feel free to experiment based on your preferences.
HiRes Fix:
Steps: 15
Denoise: 0.3
Upscale: 2x
Upscalers: Rex, 4x_Remacri, or your personal favorite.
ADetailer: Use sparingly. Due to potential VAE differences, it might occasionally produce grey squares.
Embeddings: We've used some of our own custom embeddings to showcase character types in our examples, but no stylistic embeddings were necessary to achieve the core look.
LoRA Compatibility: Chances are good that most LoRAs will work with this. However, be aware that while they will function, the result might not perfectly align with your expectations if the LoRA heavily influences style. It's a "What You See Is What You Get" situation with the base model's strong aesthetic – it'll likely produce a good image, just perhaps not the one you had in mind with a very specific LoRA.

Description
Struggling a bit on this, but it's VERY hard to make realism work and cross it with 3d.
It does have struggl with prompting because of how Illustrious is trained.
Again this is now a 2DN crossover, just like the Pony version was.
Forge MAY not have any 2DN AFter 1.0 (which was originaly VDIFF) 1.2 -- but we'll still credit Advotkat anyways!

Ditch A1111. Comfy is way better unless you need super fine-grained control in the options. But, me, I prefer finer-grained control in the actual workflow, and comfy is very versatile.
It's intimidating at first, but worth it once ya get it figured out. I'm close to releasing a workflow for it to make it much easier for beginners to get it working for basic things like image generation, upscale, inpaint, outpaint, and img2img (w/controlnet).
But I'm still learning a few new things just now that may help me to improve the workflow, so I'm waiting until I get those sorted so I can release the refined version.
No.
I will not go to comfyUI.
I'm autistic/adhd and i can't deal.
Reforge maybe, but no I Don't like seeing what everythin'gs up to and the one million damn wires and extremely finicnkey installations and the lack of transparanecy on security...
:D
It's that i'm VERY USED to A1111- Swarm looks like a kindergarten computer to me, and i'll promise to try re:forge but no - i've done ComfyUI once, and my CPTSD LITERALLY panics at he pattern of the wires beacuse i ahv ea VERY lack of logic in that department
And i'm kinda bored of everyone releasing workflows, like they're just node connectors, why can't people devleop plugins for ANY Of the ui/ux's-- Workflows are valid AF -- but i'm bored of everyone going "Oh i'm a creator t hat's better than you beacuse i do WORKFLOWS" :D
@duskfallcrew "I'm autistic/adhd and i can't deal."
Lol.. So am I. literally, diagnosed and all. I tried avoiding comfy for a while, but it's actually not so bad once ya get used to it. If anything, being autistic should be a boon towards getting into comfy. Cuz it allows you to order it how YOU want it. Not how other people think you should want it. It also comes with a few base templates to get ya started.
I mean, ya don't gotta jump in head first either. Ya can always set it up in a separate venv, toss in one model and maybe a lora or two, and have atter.
"lack of transparanecy on security..."
And you don't think that's an issue with A1111? Honestly, it is with ANY of these webuis, but at least with comfy, you know the only thing running is what you want running. There's not like 50 different things on the backend and pipelines and all. There's no tabs, it's what you see is what you get. I actually left SD Next and got into comfy because of the lack of transparency and the amount of backend fuckery going on with SDN.
Course I'm not nutso paranoid about Joe blow hacker. I worry more about the corporations than some random individual.
"i ahv ea VERY lack of logic in that department"
But.. It's SO simple.. I mean, objectively speaking, it's simple. It's like, Checkpoint --- Loras --- Prompt(positive/negative) --- empty latent image --- Ksampler --- Vae decode --- image
The empty latent image can be imagined as a blank canvas. It's just what the Ksampler needs to work with in order to generate an image, and that node generally contains the option for image resolution. Ksampler has a few odd options, most of which you've already seen in A1111. steps, sampler(like euler), scheduler(like karas), CFG (classifier free guidance, iirc, in A1111, it was just called 'guidance').
As for the wires, you can actually change the style of them in the options. You can force them to run linear (straight line between connections), or straight (less messy, they run along lines on the graph and have a more boxy appearance), or splines (curvy line between connections), or, you can outright hide them. That last one would drive me nuts, since I wouldn't be able to see what's connected to what, but once you have everything connected where you want it, using that could solve whatever anxiety you have about the lines/wires.
@duskfallcrew Eh, I don't claim to be better than anyone. It took me a while to figure out how to do inpainting and outpainting, and some of the things that are just more basic and straightforward in the other programs. So, I figure it'd be something nice to do; create a workflow that people new to the program can use to accomplish all these things without a lot of extra work.
Also, any workflows I've seen, have been targeted. It's one program, but it's like people are expected to look like 50 different places just to be able to do all the things the program can do.. My workflow would solve that by consolidating all of the functions into a single, easy to navigate workflow.
But, if people hadn't uploaded their workflows, then I would not have the resources required to make this one. With a program this diverse in the implementation of it's functions, it's good to have more people putting their mind into it, and letting us know what they come up with. Collaboration can be a powerful thing.
@Lazman Y'know there comes a time when people WILL just take them at face value and understand "No."
I don't care WHERE the wires connect to how SMART THEY LOOK:
I do not LIKE the granular control that ComfyUI has, there's too many variables.
I have CPTSD does not like the pattern, of having to deal with a SERVER ROOM worth of stuff.
If you READ everything i say as "AuDHD" only then you're going to use the same rhetoric you just said.
you can't FORCE anyone into using something they do not want to use.
I HAVE used it once.
I have seen it multiple times.
I'm actively developing one or more nodes for people that use it.
But i swear to you on multiple universes and the 300+ personalities residing in my. brain:
I'm done hearing "OH BUT I CAN DO IT".
I'm 42 years old, i'm not sitting here calling you stupid, i'm not telling you that you're better than anyone else --
I'm done being told that i'm using "OUTDATED" stuff, i've already set out to try and move to reforge, but i'm not moving to ComfyUI. I'm happy to acessibility wise DEVELOP content for it, i'm trying to do that with my programming group i'm with... But i'm not going to move to it just because ONE person out of 1000 says "If i can do it, you have no excuses". Because that sadly is abelist, and i know you're NOT intentionally being that way? But there's no way in hell I could do it, my brain doesnt' work that way - i'm not the same kinda logic ComfyUI uses . I failed FLOW CHARTS in college, yes - i actually failed programming in college, and i use LLMs now to program because i don't have the brains to sit down and code it myself.
I appreciate you i do.
But please lay off on the "But i can do it why can't you" - it's valid you like ComfyUI, it's totally great... But i can't deal with it, and that's that.
@duskfallcrew "If I can do it , so can you."
Trust me when I say, I'm not tryin to come across like that at all. At least not in the way that you think. Believe me, I've been gaslit to all hell by the normies for long enough to know just how irritating that can be..
As for age and mental illnesses, I'm currently 44, and on top of autism, I also have ptsd, the ptsd was only diagnosed within the last several months, and I didn't land on an official diagnosis for autism until age 38. What's more, I just come across another disorder that would actually seriously explain a LOT. Dissociative derealization disorder. But, from from what I've read of it, and experienced of it, I think a more accurate name would be 'lost in space syndrome'.
Basically, it's like I'm in control of myself and my actions, but there's a persistent disconnect between my cognition and my physical body. I tend to phase out, and lose time a lot. It's Not like I'm not aware of what's going on around me, or not in control of my actions, but it's more like going into lightspeed. Like, 3 months pass, and I didn't pay my phonebill again.
Problems for the average person is like, shit, hit the snooze button on my alarm, and slept in, problems for me is like, shit, I stopped thinking (for what seemed like an instant) about a meeting I had with my doctor, and didn't even think about it again until 3 months later(and the meting was 2 months before that).. Or, I'll think about it in passing, like "I should do that.." or, "I should look into that.", then I'll drift out of that thought and lose it again for a long period of time.
So, yea..
"Audhd"
Oh, that's great, my audio is also high definition; and surround sound. Yea, these headphones are alright like that.
But, in all seriousness, I was diagnosed with ADHD a year or few before the autism. So, yea, who knows.. Autism bleeds into so many other disorders.. Gonna talk to my Dr about that dissociative disorder. I already did, but I gotta phone her back. I keep putting that off though. I keep thinking about it, every day actually, but forcing myself to do a non-routine physical action, is like pulling teeth.. Big part of the reason I'm sure I have it, apart from the lost time and such, and that sensation that I can't make any connection with the physical world that feels.. real..
Apologies if that was too much of an infodump, but it's nice to be able to talk about this stuff with someone.
Anyways, I won't try to gaslight you into using comfy, or 'force'. Anything I said was nothing but suggestion and trying to be helpful. But, also to open you up to potentially bypassing any self-imposed limitations that were actually instilled into you by others that think you incapable of.. many things; just because you're not mainstream and don't think the way that they do.
Because the one thing I hate, almost more than people attempting to force me to think as they do, is those that assume that I am incapable. I am a thinking breathing being with full limitless use of my brain (fucked up as my brain may be..), and even if my memory is trash, and my focus is shot, I have the base ability to make a binary decision, and therefore, I can do literally anything that anyone else can, since literally everything is made up of binary components.
In a sense, we are all just differing combinations of 0's and 1's, and so is everything else on and off this planet. And so long as my memory is not completely shot, I can continue to build upon previous successes until I accomplish something. I only wish I'd known all I know now when I was younger. I wasted so many years thinking I was a mentally deficient nothing. And with our systemically ignorant society reinforcing those beliefs. I've effectively wasted a lifetime already..
@Lazman I appreciate you, trust me. You're willing to REINFORCE the positivity of TRYING, you're debating accessibility! I'm working on developing extensions with my coding group (nodes?) -- but i dont think i COULD USE comfy with the way my brain works is all.
I think it's REALLY COOL what it CAN do, and i'm all for open source choices. <3
So i'm VERY HAPPY you came back and re-explained it, sometimes words get crossed and words get flamey.
@duskfallcrew I know that as well. I've had countless people get ignorant with me just because I don't say the things they expect me to say in the given situation. People need to chill out and stop being offended by words (to the extent they are). People be killin themselves these days over facebook bullying, but I got bullied IRL as a child. One would think it to be a fair bit worse. You cant exactly /ignore IRL, and before internet, you couldn't just go talk to someone else; there was only those around you. So, if they didn't like you, no one did.
It's funny that way though. The internet both connects, and separates us in so many ways. We've never been so anti-human, yet, we never stop talking to one another. It's a total paradox..
@Lazman I've gotten death threats over ai, and other things 👀 so yup probably people need to chill 🤣
@duskfallcrew "death threats over ai"
Lol.. That just made me picture a scenario where ChatGPT starts threatening to kill you. Like, you know you fucked up when an AI that's literally programmed to be nothing but polite and subservient to you, starts threatening your life XD..
But, as for people, yea, a lot of people talk on the internet, just talk. Most people are just useless IRL though. They won't come at you, they won't fight for better quality of life, they won't fight for anything at all. Everyone's afraid, fearful, even me.. I've managed to break some of the fears I've had, but sadly, those things no longer affect me(basically, too little too late, the story of my life..).
nah for me, if u want just generate images, gof Forge, if u want fiddle and wonder for days why this or this node setup does not work and u get black images, while it works for everyone else, go comfy UI and waste time like android geek instead of just getting your images done :D
@blhll Now now, lol - ComfyUI is valid for those who KNOW they need the finegrain. I just don't know how to use Forge yet and i heard Reforge is better, but ther'es no docker containers for it and i dont know ho to make one XD
Been testing a lot of models and I really like this one. The best balance between realism and flexibility I've seen so far. It definitely deserves some more attention. Nice work!
Thank you for that, it's partially based on @advokat 's 2DN illustrious - it does get tetchy sometimes, and i have tried to take my own spin but i've been struggling a little since i haven't been training loras OFF site and only onsite, so i've been mitigating cost, because it's buzz -- i need to get back to offsite XD
@duskfallcrew Yea I can see the similarities in the outputs. I like 2DN, but its gives me really weird stuff at times compared to other models. Which makes it unique at least :p
