🎨 Fritz Willis (1907–1979) was an American illustrator best known for his elegant and expressive pin-up art. Born in Oklahoma and raised in Boston, he studied at the Noble and Greenough School and later at the Vesper George Art Academy. Willis gained prominence through his long-running calendar series for Brown & Bigelow, including the popular “Artist’s Sketchbook” pin-up collection2. His work combined technical finesse with a refined sensuality, making him one of the standout figures in mid-20th-century American illustration.
