Codename: Sailor V (コードネーム は セーラーＶ, Kōdonēmu wa Sērā V) is a manga series written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi . It follows young Minako Aino , who uses her newfound magical powers to fight injustice, guided by her feline companion Artemis . The positive reception of its first chapter gave rise to the entire Sailor Moon franchise.
