Highly recommended to upscale with hi-res AFTER generating your best looking images. DO NOT use normal upscale like ESRGAN because they won't be able to fill in new details. I believe this is because the model is quite badly trained for lower steps. Sampler recommendations: Euler A with 11 - 16 steps. Go higher than the default steps for quality gens, but will have diminishing returns.
