Such an underated game, i still have my copy stored away. It might have been limited pokemon-wise but i loved the more traditional RPG story and feel to it, and if i'm mistake was the first 3D Pokemon RPG for consoles. You're right about the soundtrack too, they could have phoned it in and redo the classic tracks but they got someone who knew what it needed (Same guy who did sound design for Dragon Quest 3, 6 & 7 btw!)
Yes its a great game! Its a much more real world. Pokemon games are fun but they are pretty silly plot wise.
Yes given that this is Gen 3 I'm pretty sure its the first 3d Pokemon RPG.
We had Hey You Pikachu and Pokemon Snap as the first 3d pokemon games but they weren't RPGs or trainer games.
The sad thing about Pokemon games is that they are amazing when Gamefreak doesn't make them.

That is so true unfortunately, most of the ones i really enjoy aren't Gamefreak now i think about it; Pokemon Ranger/Snap/New Snap were HAL Laboratory, the Mystery Dungeon series was Spike Chunsoft, Pokemon Conquest was Koei Tecmo, even the two TCG games on Gameboy were actually Hudson Soft which surprised me, and of course the two colosseum games by Genius Sonority, every one of those I really enjoyed.
@NeilSylver I didnt play Pokopia but its super popular at it was made by: Omega Force, Game Freak, Koei Tecmo.

I love Pokemon its just sad that their plots so childish. Its like they dont want serious villains but then Legend of Zelda has straight up evil demons and nightmare monsters.
@CitronLegacy Yeah, Pokopia and Pokemon Go passed me by but those weren't Gamefreak either. Gamefreak could do so much more with it if they had the balls to try. Hearing you say about demons and monsters, I could actually see a Luigi's Mansion style game featuring all the different ghost pokemon working very well, maybe using the New Snap approach by using the controller screen to see them, and that's just off the top of my head, there's a reason Palworld got so popular with it's willingness to be more mature too (relatively speaking). Oh, did you see my Vex attempts using your Tristana lora btw? She was quite easy to summon up with just tags (⌒ω⌒)
