The Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Niterói (MAC) in Brazil is a striking example of modern architecture designed by the renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer. The museum's design is characterized by its circular structure with a wide, disk-like roof that seems to hover above a narrow cylindrical base. This creates the impression that the building is floating above the landscape. The reflective pool surrounding the base enhances this illusion, mirroring the structure and adding to its futuristic aesthetic.

A curving, red-carpeted ramp leads visitors from the ground to the entrance, emphasizing the fluid and organic lines typical of Niemeyer's style. The interior space features a large exhibition hall with a continuous circular layout, designed to provide an immersive experience for showcasing contemporary art.
