It is with regret that I must announce this will be the last model I will be posting for a while. Over the last few months the amount of moderation of real person images of males has gotten out of hand. While I agree with the policy of not allowing sexually explicit imagery of real persons, the strictness of the rules applied to males has far exceeded the sheer and utter laxity of moderation of far more risqué images of real person females. Female images with full shoulder and upper cleavage, gaps of the breasts, enhanced cleavage, enhanced posteriors, covered nipples, sexual poses, sheer fabrics, exposed midriffs, etc are generally given PG ratings and don't have sensitive tags applied, but an image of a man with a covered nipple is an automatic R rating, often held for 24-48 hours for moderation and sometimes blocked. About 80-90% of the time now a man wearing a wrestling singlet is given an R rating, held for moderation and rejected. Almost as frequently a man in gym attire or basketball uniform is held for moderation and increasingly being rejected. Men fully clothed in baseball or football uniforms are being held for moderation as "Sexy Attire." And yet the stream of real person female images continues unabated. I contacted two other male content creators here who have also expressed that about 20-50% of their images are being rejected now too. I contacted support whose response wasn't very satisfactory, failing to understand my complaint is not the real person "safe-for-work" policy, but the unequal and uneven application of it by both the AI moderation and human moderators with respect to male versus female images. They invited me to contact the moderation team on Discord. I realize I'm probably a lot older than many of the users here. I'm not a Discord person and shouldn't have to signup for an account and get an invite to a server to lodge a complaint. So for the moment I'm hitting pause on adding any more value to the CivitAI platform by adding to the content library, a library where male content is already underrepresented. As I stated in the ticket I submitted, I am not ready to say flat out that this is intentional homophobia, but it does display an indifference or lack of awareness that it can be perceived as such. This disparate treatment has made me feel unwelcome and unvalued, so I feel little need to keep enhancing the value of a place responsible for such treatment. Maybe in a few months I'll come back and try again to see if things have changed, but for now I feel stepping away is the right thing to do.
