This was trained purely on screencaps of Initial D, specifically First Stage.
For whatever reason they kept changing stuff about the artstyle (and character's haircolors lol), but I personally preferred the very first season lookswise! It looks really rough, but has a certain charme once you are used to it.
DISCLAIMER:This LoRA is only trained on characters and backgrounds, not the cars, might do that seperately! I feel like having both in one would somewhat compromise each aspect to a degree.

Notes:
The screenshots I trained this on were kinda...not great, because it's really hard to find this in a good quality, even the DVD rereleases are kind of bad. As a consequence it sometimes is a bit blurry even with hires. fix applied.
Feel free to share some of the pictures you create with me and post them here!

I was literally saying yesterday someone should make an Initial D style LoRA, and here it is! This is awesome :D Thank you so much for this :)
Been playing the arcadegames a bunch lately, so I went to see if anyone did any LoRAs of any characters or the show in general and...nothing. Was kinda shocked to be honest x)
@Beelze I was surprised and shocked also since it's a classic anime and also a very well-known and loved one! But I'm glad it's here now :D Now we can all be late night tofu delivery drivers ;)
thank you for this!
Is it in your plans to make a lora based on the style of City Hunter (1987)?
thank you for your effort.
I would like to, it looks amazing, but I have yet to watch it and I still plan on doing so! I don't want to go through it looking for screencaps and spoil the show for myself in the process :/
@Beelze it is a very wise decision. Anyway if you need help getting screenshots let me know.
Tried testing this is various models you weren't kidding it's a lot of blurry images. Even with blurry in the negatives it's still really bad. hope you revisit this in the future love the original anime style.
I'm currently not doing any LoRA stuff, am kinda taking a break! x)
But if I however come across a rip of the show that's cleaner I'll gladly redo this!
But even the official DVD I have has poor quality (not talking low resolution, because it obviously wasn't in HD back then, it was just converted from analog to digital poorly) and most the stuff I checked online does too, even a rerelease of a friend has the same issues :/ (for First Stage specifically)
you salvaged what you could. appreciated the effort regardless.
@Beelze you need to upscale each training image somehow (maybe using img2img) to separate the artwork from the analog-style. Because else it is like training with 2 styles at the same time.
