Noramyako from the manga and anime series Doraemon (1969), a long-running Japanese comedy and science fiction franchise about a robotic cat from the 22nd century helping Nobita Nobi with futuristic gadgets, is a female robotic cat connected to Doraemon’s past before he travels to the present. She is shown as one of Doraemon’s friends from Robot School and is best known as his former girlfriend in older continuity, with later material such as 2112: The Birth of Doraemon presenting her as a dancer who knew him before he lost his ears. After Doraemon becomes earless, Noramyako’s reaction becomes part of the backstory explaining his insecurity about his appearance, while spin-off material like The Doraemons gives her a more active dancer identity and a more humanoid pink cat-like design.
