i cant figure out how a model can understand how hair falls or fabric behaves as a gravitational fluid material dynamic but it cant just put 5 fingers on a hand
I would guess it's due to a large discrepancy in training material. Pony, and almost any other 2d model likely has media in it, of which have differing numbers of digits. A lot of popular cartoons only depict characters with 4 fingers, rather than 5.
For anyone stuck on more realistic/detailed gens, try screencap to get it back to 2d.
