Hard to believe it's been about 15 years since the rumic world 50th anniversary and final act. Inuyasha was in the perfect shape for a conclusion, but I never expected they'd have another go at UY and ranma in this century. A pleasant surprise.
The new 2024 Anime of Ranma 1/2 is nothing new in terms of story, it's just a remake (with modern animation style) and less fanservice.
