Works great in most cases. Actually seems to be unusually stable when combined with 2D character resources, being more consistent with certain details that SD normally missed.
It seems character resources that already have a 3D appearance trained for them cling to higher polygon count (especially for the face), even at lower weights, as can be seen in the Cindy Vortex and Violet Parr examples I posted. I think its an issue with SD rather than anything fixable.
