What's this LoRA
This is a LoRA trained on AI generated pictures of cartoons with a CRT filter (made using the Bing Image Creator). My models are not trained to achieve the exact style of their source, but to change the general vibe of the image. They are also fine-tuned on anime models, so they may not work perfectly with realistic ones.
The images in the examples are created using only this LoRA and different models (mainly my custom):
You don't need to specify a word to trigger this LoRA.

I don't understand why this is called "CRT". It doesn't look like it has anything to do with cathode ray tube televisions. I feel like I'm missing something.
Hi! The reason why it's called CRT is that it has been trained on AI generated pictures prompted with the CRT keyword. The LoRA itself, when used with high weight, can achieve the chromatic aberration and focus typical of old CRT TVs. It is not meant to emulate the style of a CRT television, when I work on my models I focus on the creative aspect and not on replicating the source material (as stated in the description). If more people find it confusing, I'll update the name to something else!
It's very confusing, "CRT" is a well known term and there is an expectation of what CRT looks like, but it doesn't really looks like anything remotely related to CRT :)
@Inzaniak CRTs actually don't have chromatic aberration in the traditional/photography sense of the word. When a CRT has color issues like you're describing it's usually because the 3 electron beams have drifted out of convergence and need to be adjusted to compensate. Focus/blur issues are also not something that is universal to CRTs; it depends on the type and construction of the CRT. Flat screen CRTs are notorious for blur/focus issues, as are big screen "projector" based CRTs.
The name definitely was confusing. I was thinking the lora might produce a scanline effect, or maybe a color blending/artifacting effect similar to composite and RF signal inputs. I'm glad you decided to change the name. It's a beautiful lora and now people can focus on that instead of the name :P
