These enhanced styles are some of my favorite on the whole site! Kenva Enhanced is my favorite, but I've had a lot of fun with Smudge 2. Thanks again!
im wondering if theres a way to enhance kenva further. to really get the repeating dot effect
There's not much halftone dots in original artist's style, maybe I'll do it as a separate style but it's not really hard to make it in PS and more controllable
@alexclerick With his older art (2020ish/21ish) I would agree:
Example of his older art (I cant even tell with my own eyes and I dont even think it is halftone): https://www.instagram.com/p/CYYznBToZRE/?hl=en
However with his newer art released this past year, its much more pronounced:

Another note - When I say repeating dot I don't mean literally "repeating dot". And this is the problem with this style of art with other resources such as Bing. When you ask Bing for this style of art, it'll do it, but theres 2 problems with it that doesnt capture the original art very well:
1) Bings output is too low of resolution, thus the dots are way too pronounced. Also the dots are of course the exact same size and shape, while if you look close at the original art, especially if zoomed in, the dots aren't the same, nor are they the same shape. The pattern is the same however due to wear and tear of of the real life canvas, it causes some dots to skew adding to the artistic appeal.
2) Bings output selectively applies the dot pattern. On most neutral colors, not bright and not dark, it will apply the style, however the closer the dots get to either white or black, the more inclined it is to just not apply the effect.
I uploaded Bing output of halftone effect here: https://civitai.com/posts/5466799
This is not what I'm wanting, I'm just giving you a reference so you dont have to manually go look at what is not preferred.
I aked him on insta and he said it's just color halftone in photoshop as well as some dust/dirt textures as well.
Worked well for me if you're willing to edit in post.

@noirionwav some very beautiful images. i wish i'd seen this sooner. i've gotten it to 'fairly' work on sdxl but it required an entire checkpoint fine tuning as opposed to just a lora, mainly because some halftoned images its trained upon are so 'muddy' that it just looks like film grain, and I needed finer control to manipulate it and differentiate between 'halftone' and 'film grain'. can see an example here https://civitai.com/images/47734339
