Turns out my dims weren't the same so they weren't playing nice. Downloaded Kohya-SS GUI and merged there instead. Worked like a charm. Crazy how using the right settings and tools can fix things. Who knew? If it isn't apparent I'm learning as I go. It doesn't have a trained trigger word, but the suggested one gives a guaranteed pegging scene.
