Negative values move toward clean, polished, professional-looking photos, while positive values introduce the characteristics of amateur photography: cellphone camera aesthetics, imperfect exposure, less controlled lighting, natural imperfections, and a more spontaneous, everyday feel.

The main focus of this slider is on the positive side, where it can help create convincing amateur-style images that feel less staged and more like real pictures taken with an ordinary cellphone.

The recommended range is -1.5 to +1.5. I suggest experimenting with different strengths, especially on the positive side, to find the look that works best for your images.
