This is a complete app, not a single workflow file: download the zip, run the installer, and Proteus Lite opens in your browser.

Proteus Lite is a one-click image editor for Krea 2 that runs in your browser on your own NVIDIA GPU, through ComfyUI. Make a picture, then change it with one sentence. The installer finds your ComfyUI portable (or installs the official one), adds the node packs it needs at tested versions, and puts a shortcut on your desktop. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

What it does

• Make an image (Krea 2): a two-pass quality recipe (a draft, then a detail pass that enlarges it up to 2x), styles, your own LoRAs.

• Follow a picture: copy the pose (one person or several) or the layout (depth) of a photo.

• Edit an image (Krea 2 Identity Edit): change what you ask and keep the rest. Paint the area or click a thing to select it (SAM 3.1), keep only what changed, combine up to 3 pictures.

• A gallery with a before / after slider, a node map of every graph, and a Setup panel that shows where each model goes.

• No limits: no watermark, no size cap, no daily count.

Your first 15 minutes

1. Start the model downloads first (about 20 GB, the slowest part; Proteus Lite includes and downloads no models):
   – krea2_turbo_fp8_scaled.safetensors, 13.1 GB, into ComfyUI\models\diffusion_models
   – qwen3vl_4b_fp8_scaled.safetensors, 5.2 GB, into text_encoders
   – qwen_image_vae.safetensors, 254 MB, into vae
   – krea2_identity_edit_v1_2.safetensors, 1.8 GB, into loras (for Edit; the _r128 file, 914 MB, on 12 GB cards)
   The first three are on huggingface.co/Comfy-Org/Krea-2 and the last on huggingface.co/conradlocke/krea2-identity-edit. Already have Krea 2 in ComfyUI? Skip this: Proteus finds your files by their names.

2. While they download, extract the zip to a short path (like C:\Proteus-Lite) and double-click Install Proteus.bat. It finds your ComfyUI portable or installs the official one.

3. Move the files into place (MODELS.txt lists them), open Proteus Lite from the desktop and press Setup: Make an image and Edit should say ready.

4. Type a prompt, keep the defaults and press Make: about a minute a picture on an RTX 5080 once the models are loaded. Then click it, press Edit this picture and change one thing in a sentence.

Requirements: Windows 10/11, an NVIDIA RTX card with 12 GB or more (tested on 16 GB), 32 GB RAM recommended. Stuck? Setup > Copy diagnostics and paste it into your message.

The paid version: Proteus, with video

The full Proteus has everything in Lite and adds:

• Replace a performer (MiniMax H3): your own character takes over the movement of a clip you made or may use, up to 2 minutes, with the original sound, new audio, lip-sync or a new voice.

• Create a video (MiniMax H3): text, first/last frame, references, keyframes, continue a clip, up to 1.55 MP for short clips.

• Upscale a video: RTX Video Super Resolution or SeedVR2, plus RIFE 48 fps.

• Prompt Forge: your own local GGUF language model writes prompts.

MiniMax H3's license for its weights doesn't cover every country (at the time of writing not the EU, the UK, South Korea or the US), so please check it before you join for the video features.

Rules (18+ only)

No minors, ever. No real people without their consent. Follow each model's license. Proteus refuses prompts about children and asks who is in each picture you bring from disk before using it. Pictures made in Proteus aren't filtered or asked about (only prompts are read). Full terms: TERMS_OF_USE.md in the zip.
