Queen Remedi, the games big bad from the Gameboy Advance title Final Fantasy Tactics Advance .
As always, give me a day for samples and to learn the quirks.
From 29 samples, model site training defaults. Considering there's really only one official art and one or two GBA sprites I think we'll do pretty good. I totally understand why creators don't do these niche loras but I like to think I'm getting better at them. Oh, and the site autotagger was definitely giving me some results I hadn't seen before, lowres and AI generated, don't know if that'll make a difference, we'll see how it did together.
We'll get to prompts properly here after I Old Man Story you a bit.
I don't know why I had the urge to do a lora of her, I get these sudden, hey, remember them, I wonder if they made a lora, no course they didn't sort of impulses. I've got other loras to work on for sure, but my impulse loras usually turn out better than I expect. I can tell you, a magical villainous fantasy queen with improbable hair is always a weakness of mine. And I have good memories of FFTA, man did those Laws used to jack me up. It was released 2003 but I only picked it up and beat it in 2009 as I recall. By then FFTA2 was out for DS which was a huge leap, but the GBA was always impressive for how much gameplay they could pack into 16 MB (sometimes less!)
I'll VERY briefly summarize, its a fun game, but there's only two ways to describe most Final Fantasy titles. A 9 page manifesto or oversimplifying it, we'll oversimplify. Kids find a strange book that transports them to Ivalice (Final Fantasy world) where they are fantasy versions of themselves, its a classic trope that way and there's alot more going on, but its very well done. One thing that could seriously gimp your gameplay were Laws, basically, you can't use an item, or use a sword weapon, or etc. The game wouldn't prevent you from doing these, but if you forgot, especially if you were in a long fight, you'd get punished bad for slipping up, sometimes it meant the battle.
Well, Queen Remedi is Prince Mewt's mother (one of the kids), in the real world she died of an illness when he was young, in Ivalice she's your stock all powerful evil queen type with the added wrinkle that she's is also the underlying wish power sustaining the fantasy world and definitely doesn't want it reverting back to the real world (and given 2026, I don't blame her!)
Well, Mewt's mom, what do we have here.
"Official art" as a prompt really helps strengthen the lines in IMO
I'd say she looks about 35, tall, long brown hair in a sort of triple ponytail, a small crown, blue eyes, blue eyeshadow. She wears a long black and blue skirt and a black armor chest piece with a gold choker necklace and gold hoop earrings. Remedi wears a large brown belt that also has two smaller belts. She has a red/brown forehead marking. In most art she has either a magic wand or a magic staff.
That dress/armor is really overpowering, really lay on negs or prompts or reduce lora strength or use another lora you want something different!
She also has her "true form", in which her body is blue and pink smooth crystal, pink eyes, a forehead jewel, and in place of legs a sort of crystaline teardrop shape.
If you want to gen her her crystaline form, use keyword "Li-Grim". You should get SFW by default on the crystal form I'd expect, but as she's got kind of a barbie doll thing going on you may want to play it safe and neg out nudity.
I note it depends on the model, some you don't have to put anything, others it tries to stick the crystal form in her black dress.
If you want to do like a parody thing, you're gonna have to really lay on prompts to get around that forehead marking, hair style and jewelry and lower lora strength. Hey, I'm sorry, the lora is designed to gen QUEEN Remedi.

Very niche, and very nice. I loved this game when it came out. It might be a cut back version of the OG FFT but something about it just hit right.
I still play it from time to time with mods, one of which is the Anarchy mod that removes those annoying laws. There was nothing worse than going into a battle and realizing that attacks or your main weapon type was banned, while the bosses were immune to laws altogether. There aren't as many complete overhaul/story mods as the OG but there are still some interesting ones like this that let you use different starter clans like one with Mewt & Remedi in it; https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/9062/
Thank you, it scratches an itch of mine to do the niche stuff. I'll tell you what else I loved was Tactics Ogre Knight of Lodis. Oh I got ALL my game play out of FFTA for sure, some stuff I just do 90% and leave the stuff that takes impossible grinding, or if its really getting on my nerves I'll do the minimum, but I remember doing as many of those extra missions as I could. I still have to play A2, I've got one of those DS cartridges from China has 200+ games on it but I only play like 4 or 5 of them. The biggest problem I always had with FFTA is there's such a huge windup. You got all the mechanics and laws and you gotta sit down and commit to it if you're gonna play it, its not something you just start playing after 10 minutes
@topside_johnny Yeah, i remember the start of the game being a chore to sit through each time, thank god for emulators with turbo functions. I didn't play A2 oddly enough, i tried but it didn't quite grab me the same way, and I completely forgot about Knights of Lodis probably because it didn't have 'Final Fantasy' in the title when i searched for games to play.
I did actually buy a japenese copy of Final Fantasy Tactic: The Ivalice Chronicles just so i'd have a physical copy to go alongside Tactics Ogre: Reborn which is an amazing remaster of the SNES version. There was also the FFXII spinoff Revenant Wings for DS which was an RTS of all things, I actually enjoyed that but that's probably because I adored XII itself.
@NeilSylver My brother got me FFXII back in the day but I didn't give it a fair shake I gotta admit. Way too different from the previous FFs for me. Not counting that I never went back, I'm completely lost with today's FFs
@topside_johnny I never played any past XII barring XV and spinoff titles like theatrhythm. I remember my brother visiting with his copy of XIII and him saying 'It gets good after the first 10 hours or so!' I've not got that time to waste on the hopes that it gets good ffs!
XII is a bit tricky to get into but if you can get used to and enjoy the gambit battle system and like the Ivalice setting, it's a blast.
I'd recommend the Zodiac Job System version that narrows down the license board into specific job classes for characters though, In the original you had access to everything so you essentially had two sets of characters that could do the same things with no real difference between them. Zodiac gives you 2 jobs out of 12 per character eventually so there's some variety, and i'm a sucker for job systems, I like FF3 and 5 a lot because of theirs.
@NeilSylver Never played the J ones (I know they're localized now, and I know I could pirate them if I really wanted), I had the GBA FF1 and 2 but quit halfway through because the encounter rate was too much. Or maybe I needed the money. At any rate, my attention span really comes and goes. I know most games are or get good you give them enough time, but mines always been limited as is. I got at least part of the FF7 rerelease through PS Essential, I just don't have the bandwidth to do more than 1 or 2 games at a time and sometimes not even then
@topside_johnny 7 is my GOAT, i can play through that game blindfolded i've done it that many times. 1 & 2 are a grind. I got the anniversary collection and bailed on 1 halfway through. I am looking forward to https://store.steampowered.com/app/3259780/FINAL_FANTASY_RESONANCE/ next month though.
@NeilSylver Ooo, now that's slick, I didn't know about that. Looks like they're using Brave Exvius some. I've got really fond memories of it, it actually got me into Nier Automata with the company crossover. I know it makes me sound like an old crank, but I'm ready for an old style FF, I'm tired of magic flying cars and 3D dynamic action and all that jazz. Gimme the old style, and bring back classic Pizza Hut too while we're at it. We all tried to act like the 80's didn't happen in the 90's, but that's just cuz we thought there was something better on the horizon. Now we know better!
@topside_johnny True that, I love when a modern game takes the retro approach. I was hoping 'Before Crisis' would have scratched that itch but it turned out to be a gacha game :( I am hopeful for this one though. I go out of my way to find overhaul mods for the old Final Fantasy's to have a fresh way of playing them, like Final Fantasy IV ultima edition. Adds a ton of content, has a new game plus, and pushes the level cap past 99 https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/4134/ It even has bosses from the other games thrown in but they're hard af if you're unprepared.
@topside_johnny Nowadays i rather play XII over X
X is just too.. lineal and cliche, XII is very special.
@kidark1992 I actually agree, don't get me wrong, i appreciate X for being the first 'cinematic' style final fantasy but the railroading is a pain for replays, not to mention i find the endgame to be lackluster. You get the airship, revisit each area, capture monsters and beat dark aeons then that's it :( In recent years i've come to appreciate X-2 more but as i said above, i'm a sucker for a good job system, and i still rate XII above it for the beautifully fleshed out world and how alive it feels in every area.
@kidark1992 Agree on the linear thing, it doesn't really let you wander and the backtracking feels very primitive compared to the rest of the game. That said, I loved it because of the fleshed out world, the summons, and as Neil says, the cinematic aspect. Its very hard for me to describe most FF plots to people outside the main gist, but I feel like FF X is easier than most. I regret not giving FF XII more of a chance, the whole fighting in free roam thing was too much of a changeup for me at the time. I kinda want to do a lora of Judge Drace but I feel like making a lora of a character I didn't actually get to in the game is the same as writing a fic of them ya know? I suppose I could do it, but it wouldn't feel right.
@NeilSylver You'll love this. So, still had my PS-2 into 2012 understand, I played this stuff well past the expiration date because I procrastinate and jump around on games and generally take care of my hardware. I have FFX-2, and my style has always been do ALLLLL the side stuff when I like a game, and as I recall in FFX-2, you HAVE TO before you get so far. So I had done ALL of it, and I was on whatever the final chapter is. Wife and I bought a house, the moving and boxes and all that bs was epic. I was paranoid (clever!) enough I had TWO memory cards. So move in, and I go to trade like 3 or 4 PS2 games I'm done with. Now, ya remember how the PS2 cases sometimes had the little memory card holders? Well finally get around to firing up the PS2, come to find out, what are the odds outta like 20 PS2 games, I had put the two memory cards in those 3 or 4 games, AND they didn't bother to ask me if I wanted to trade the mem cards too. And this razzes my OCD, I didn't even get the 50 cents or whatever they shoulda gave me for them. I tried to get them back, but they were gone. Don't even ask about Disgaea 2 progress!
@NeilSylver I know alot of people like that, but I just don't have it in me, most days when I come back to something I played to death in the day, its like rereading a book you've read 10 times. Sometimes its relaxing to blast through it and know it in and out. (Oh, and I got a story for FF2 too, but its actually a GOOD one)
THAT SAID. I always thought Square was missing so many tricks cracking down on fan stuff. Its literally free material, lot of it is very good and fits in with the lore, and yeah maybe you gotta share SOME of the profit but get them to sign something, how many fans wouldn't not only work for Square for free but pay to see their expansion added to a rerelease?
@topside_johnny Ouch, that must have stung a little, especially the Disgaea 2 progress, that game is even beefier than the first! I literally have a box stored away with a handful of PSX memory and a few PS2 memory cards and i'm super protective of them along with all my consoles over the years, the only other thing that has always come with me as I've moved around was my Discworld book collection.
I even have a PSX memory card dedicated solely to Chrono Cross, saving at stratgic points so i could access each special ending and continue+ into the next save, seeing them all and unlocking all the characters in one file.
As i said, i've grown to love FFX-2 more in time, especially with the remaster that brought the monster arena to the west for the first time, added so much variety to an already varied game. The last time i played it i tried to get 100% in a single playthrough, had a checklist and everything, got to the end and... 99.6%, no idea what i missed lol.
I would highly recommend giving FF XII a fair shot now it's cross platform, the gambit battle system can be a bit divisive but i like setting up the CPU characters to target weaknesses/heal/buff automatically, while controlling one character like a traditional FF game, not to mention the variety for jobs in the zodiac version, have one character as a black mage/monk, another as a white mage/machinist, or go full offense with a knight/foebreaker! I also like the 'rare game hunts' where you would try to get a miniboss to spawn by fulfilling certain conditions.
@topside_johnny There are SO many fan games and mods that are amazing, like Final Fantasy Renaissance which is the first final fantasy built entirely from scratch in unity, with extra job classes added. That's what the GBA and PSP remakes should have been imo!
Not to mention Final Fantasy VII New Threat mod, It rebalances the entire game, introduces a stat allocation system so characters are more unique, and... you can save Aerith! It is so well made too, just hard enough to be a challenge without being frustrating.
For a more vanilla improvement, there's the 'Shinra Archaeology Cut' which brings dummied out scenes that were on disk but not used back into the game, along with restoring things like the original Honey Bee Inn.
