Perhaps due to the art style, Anima sometimes perceives Joe Yabuki as a female character. Consequently, the face tends to shift to an overly "masculine" look during close-up shots.

There are already a few versions of "Illustrious" created by others. Perhaps you could try using one of those? I don't think I could do a better job myself...
