While maintaining the fearsome firepower of the 8.8 cm KwK 36 L/56 gun and thick frontal armor, the late model incorporated crucial modifications to streamline production, improve crew ergonomics, and adapt to changing battlefield conditions.
By 1944, the Late Tiger I was primarily deployed in independent heavy tank battalions (schwere Panzerabteilungen) on both the Eastern and Western Fronts. Despite Germany being on the defensive, the Late Tiger I remained a formidable adversary, capable of destroying any Allied armor at long ranges. However, it still suffered from mechanical complexity and a high fuel consumption rate, which became catastrophic during the late stages of the war.

雪の中のドイツ戦車というと、アルデンヌのイメージが強いですね。東部戦線でもこういう場面があったんでしょうけど。

シャーマンだって痛い目見てるはずなのに、雪の中のドイツ戦車は、フラグに見えてきますね…
とある方が「ウクライナにこの時期攻め込むって、こいつはヒトラーか」とか仰ってたことを思い出しますがw 戦車だって悪路が平気なわけじゃないですからねえ。
