Junrei-chan from the promotional mascot series Anime Tourism Association (2018), an organization created to promote anime pilgrimage tourism through the “Japanese Anime 88-Spots” project, is the official chibi mascot introduced during the 2019 Anime 88-Spots announcement event. She is depicted wearing a pleated white dress, a chicken kigurumi-style hat, and sometimes holding a flag with the association logo, giving her the look of a small tour guide for anime pilgrimage locations. Her role is to represent the association in promotional materials, social media, white papers, information centers, and VR tourism projects, including a 2020 VR pilgrimage experience based on Hyouka locations in Hida Takayama.
