I don't think you have to be so harsh. Those VAE are given out my @MM744 for free, so calling it a "scammy thing" just because it's not perfect yet is just unfair. Sharpening probably also makes more sense with realistic images than Anime. The VAE isn't not perfect yet, but Sharp Plus definitely goes in the right direction. I'm also testing Ultra now but I don't see any differences between Plus and Ultra yet...
curious...is it possible to train a VAE to get very fine fine art brush strokes? Like training it on close up of artwork or something to try to get the exact texture of a painter?

Indeed, using these VAEs did not result in any difference compared to the original Qwen VAE images. However, using other models such as WAN2.1 or HDR VAE would result in significant differences. Therefore, it is clear that these VAEs are actually the Qwen VAE.
Hello everyone. Some comments have shared incorrect information about this model and its files. The files were reuploaded to ensure that the latest versions were available correctly, as Civitai may need time to refresh file hashes and cached downloads.
One commenter claimed there was “no training” and that I “just broke it by adjusting its weights to farm downloads and likes.” However, this model page does not claim that the model was trained, so that accusation is misleading. My priority is improving the model and providing working files - not farming downloads or likes.
