Face Age Slider — Illustrious XL

A concept slider LoRA that controls perceived character age through facial proportions only — eye size, face roundness, and head-to-body ratio — without affecting body proportions.

Why I made this

When I use flat chest in prompts (what I almost do in every image, lol), Illustrious tends to generate characters that look too young, even with aggressive negative prompting like common age-related negative tags, petite body, etc. I feel that the model has a strong internal correlation between small chest and youthful face features.
What this slider does
The purpose of this slider is to try to break the connection mentioned before. It helps to make this kind of images: A young-looking face with a more adult looking body, A mature-looking face with a flat chest (petite body), Anything in between a young face and more adult-looking girl face (it's not very effective at creating the face of a mature woman as far as I've tested)

Usage

No trigger word needed. Control age entirely through the LoRA strength:

Recommended settings: Model strength: -2.0 to +2.0

Keep age-related words OUT of your prompt — let the slider handle it

Tips

• All the images have the metadata. You can download the images and drop them directly to ComfyUI.

• Works best with neutral prompts. Start testing the image generation avoiding common age-related tags like; mature, young, adult as they fight the slider. In some poses the slider might struggle to control the age. In this cases, help adding these age-related words to your positive/negative prompt.

• Test on the same seed at -2 and +2 to see the full range.

• The slider was designed to work from -2 to +2 but I've been able to make images with -3 and +3. If you feel the slider is not affecting the generation, you can test with larger values.

• If you're going to upscale the image or use a face detailler, don't forget to feed this model as if you don't do so, the slider effect will be reset.

Base model

Trained on Amanatsu Illustrious v1.1 — Compatible with Illustrious XL and most Illustrious-based checkpoints.
