AquaBrush — Watercolor Style LoRA [Illustrious/SDXL]

Trained on 60 real watercolor paintings (Western tradition, 19th-20th century masters + contemporary anime watercolors). This is an original style tool, not a copy of any single artist.

Recommended strength: 1.0 (range: 0.6-1.0)

Base model: Illustrious SDXL (tested on WAI Illustrious v1.60)

Lite (str 0.6) — Subtle watercolor hint. Softens edges, warms palette.

Tips:

• Landscapes show the strongest watercolor effect (broad skies, water, nature)

• Light scenes work better than dark — watercolor is a translucent medium

• Anti-gloss negative (glossy, glossy skin, shiny) keeps skin matte and authentic

• artistic paint strokes amplifies visible brushwork in backgrounds

• Works great with: gardens, beaches, forests, rain, snow, cherry blossoms, golden hour, mist

• NSFW works well — anatomy stays clean, skin gets matte painterly quality

• At 0.6 subtle enough to mix with other style LoRAs

• At 1.0 with Full preset output looks like genuine traditional watercolor

How it works: AquaBrush learned the unique aspects of watercolor technique — translucent color layering, soft edge bleeding, visible brushstrokes, paper texture, pigment pooling. It does NOT learn anatomy or composition because Illustrious already excels at those. LoRA = watercolor technique, Prompt = content and composition.
