I tested it in range -4 to +4, it should be okay in this range. Also your prompt should be long enough, at least more than one detailed description sentence. Details made by short prompts are impacted by this slider.

Thanks for sharing this - it's a good idea for a slider. It might have been helpful to provide a bit of guidance on it - from my tests, something around -3 strength seems to reduce saturation without impacting overall quality and composition. Only tested on one image so YMMV.
