Neat, another thing on my "vaguely considering doing" thing I can cross off the list for more time to focus on other stuff.
What kind of data did you use? I'm guessing from the outfit in the main gallery it was mostly portraits and boxart from the sequel? Some of my notes incase they're helpful for a V2
1: The Spring 1992 issue of InterAction Magazine (which is really "just" Sierra's marketing+order catalog) has concept art for Laura and unpixelated versions of several of her in-game portraits on page 31 (and an unpixelated headshot on 33).
2: For fellow Sierra heroine Pepper I tested using just really low quality sprites with basic next nearest scaling (to get to minimium size) and the tag "pixel art" as the main data. It actually works fine, though it really wants a style specified in generation. Should be useful tech if you want to bulk up your dataset (both raw count and alternate outfits. 3 should be enough to get the cut of her anachronistic underwear+build right).
3: At least for the first game, the "SCI Companion" mod tool allows easily extracting sprites.
Yeah, you're pretty spot on, I pulled from mostly the second game for her classic look but also used some of the concept art for the new game that is in limbo, which is where 2 of the outfits are directly from. Thanks for the suggestions of additional material for V2.
