Meh...I don't know. I'm begining to think that it's not possible to capture the style of 'silver age comics'. Don't get me wrong, this is not bad. But if I just saw the images and didn't know what it was, I wouldn't guess 'Jack Kirby inked by Wally Wood'.
Oh well, live and learn.
Different checkpoints gives different results. For me 'XenogasmNSFW' worked really well but you do you.

I was wondering why I didn't see many loras for these veteran artists. Is it just a 1.5 thing or XL as well?
I think it's the method they used to print color back in the day that confuses SD. They used these rather large dots that could be printed with different RGB values. It's a lot to ask of SD, I think.
Haven't tried XL because of my computer but that might work better because of the increased resolution. I actually tried to upload the training data so that somebody else could take a crack at it but it didn't upload unfortunately.
@oskarsson hey! i'd love to try it on sdxl, would be great if you could share the dataset
@whoisdmitry Of course! I'll put up a link tomorrow. Watch this space...
@whoisdmitry Here's the link (I hope. I use Google Drive so rarely I forget how to use it). I resized the images again in Birme to get 768 pixel images, so I lost the captions, unfortunately. Looking forward to the SDXL version! Good luck!

@oskarsson thanks! i'll ping you when it's ready :)
@whoisdmitry Sorry, I think I messed up a bit. There are some extra files there that's not needed! The training data should be around 80 images in 768 pixels.
That'll teach me to do stuff before I had cofee!
I know this is an old comment. But, from what I can tell, around 1-3 years ago, finding artist Loras was pretty common. After a bit of (probably deserved) uproar, most places took them down entirely and blocked future Loras tied directly to artist styles from being shared.
It's getting there, it feels like the LoRA is fighting with the checkpoint, and the checkpoint is wanting to make things real.
I know right! It's like when you promt for small breasts and you get the opposite of that:)
I might take a crack at kirby and woods 'Skymaster' art. It a newspaper strip so it's in black and white. Maybe that will work better.
has anyone found good checkpoint this Lora wont fight?
@jsunandmax715 For me 'XenogasmNSFW' worked really well but you do you
Add this ("1960's color Comic book style", colon) before the rest of your prompt. THEN see :)
Nice tip! That makes things more like a comic book! Not nailing the style still, though...
I get exceptional results running in Fooocus on juggernautXL_v8Rundiffusion checkpoint, which allows mixing XL and SD1.5 loras, by adding in the Will Eisner Style.safetensors (weighted to .7 - .8) to get that 2 source inked lighting Wood was famous for. I get that flat 2d comic color of 1960's printed comics, the strong inking style and recognizable Kirby Wood. This is really a great result. My positive is: kirbywood 1960's 2d color comic book style <lora:kirbywood:1.4> kirbywood, full body, drawing of a combat space pilot female in gray, steel instrument panel background, vintage color comics, flat 2d, kirby inked by wood, inked 2 source lighting
Sounds great! Could I trouble you for a render?
