There've been a few attempts at creating a VHS LoRA for SDXL, none of them 100% convincing.
Neither is this one.
It does a decent job with the color and lack of detail, but I was really hoping to capture more tracking errors and static. You get them every once in a while if you're very lucky, but you can't prompt for them specifically.
I guess training on noise is a fool's errand when the model's entire job is to diffuse it...
Recommendation: Do not add VHS or video to your prompt. More likely than not you'll get floating video tapes. Unless you're into floating video tapes, that is... not judging.

hey from looking at the images, I think it looks pretty cool by which i mean it gives the visual sense of video without the the crappy interlacing shake (or what ever it's called) ,,, like really old tape you get the sense the brain is doing more work to interpret the scen than the tape conveys
