Much better than that other shitty one I did. Trained using images of Nicole Kidman from the mid 2000s. I've been using 0.8 for the weight and it's working fine.

Still not great, but it's the best SDXL Nicole Kidman LoRA we have. Most checkpoints know her anyway, but this adds a little something if used at a low weight. Recommended trigger words "Nicole Kidman" and "nk2000s" (with no underscore).
Some advice? What I've learned is to not even bother with LoRAs anymore and instead use ReActor and/or IPAdapters when it comes to celebrities. As you said, the most checkpoints know her and ReActor does a better job at finishing it up.
I do the same as you. I was using this LoRA today to create the base face for a character that looks similar to Nicole Kidman but not exactly. After adjustments, then I did as you say, and used ReActor on the finished product face to apply to other images.
